Mary Boker

After settling in Chilliwack with her Dairy Farmer husband, Mary began my 20 years in funeral service, beginning as Office Manager in 2003. Mary was encouraged to grow into new but familiar aspects of the profession and began her own unexpected journey to licensing in 2012.

As life changed personally, the decision for Mary to “retire” came along. This did not last long as the opportunity to begin to work with the Association came up during COVID.

One of Mary’s joys over the past 20 years has been to encourage and support education and growth, especially in Funeral Service. As part of the BCFA Education team, it has been her privilege to assist the next generation of professionals to enter this worthwhile profession.
