Welcome To Our New Website!
The BC Funeral Association provides professional development on a variety of subjects. Working with Consumer Protection BC, we also develop relevant courses that provide licensed funeral directors and embalmers the opportunity to accumulate continuing education credits.
Welcome To Our New Website!
We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new website. This project originated from a desire to develop a website that more accurately reflected our values and increased our ability to connect with and serve our respected members, the broader community of funeral professionals, and related businesses across the province.
We appreciate our members and our new resource-filled, efficiently presented website embodies our desire to serve you better. Our new site is full of helpful information to empower our member’s professional and business success.
You are always an essential part of your community, dedicated and reliable, supporting people who are walking through the early stages of grief. The BC Funeral Association is here to serve you as you provide these vital services for your community. See how our new website can meet your needs!
At the BCFA, our mission is to promote ethical and professional standards in the funeral industry in British Columbia. We are a non-profit organization that represents funeral homes, crematoriums, cemeteries, and related businesses throughout the province. Our members are committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and high-quality services to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

When designing our new website, we recognized a need to highlight specific business needs and interests, tailoring content to suit each of our member’s needs. With that as our motivation, we created specific sub-pages to cater to Funeral Homes & Crematoriums, Cemeteries, Suppliers & Affiliates.

Careers & Employment Resources
We also recognize that one of the biggest challenges we face in this business is attracting and qualifying suitable employees. Our new Careers & Employment Resources as well as our Student Resources page aim to fill a gap in the service and make it easier for funeral businesses to connect with exceptional employees, ensuring they have all the training and qualifications they need.

Grief and Guidance
Our new Grief and Guidance page is part of the BC Funeral Association’s ongoing commitment to increasing public awareness of issues pertaining to bereavement, grief, and funeral services. With resources for the public around grief and practical information to help with advanced planning of funeral arrangements, this page can help start those all-important conversations.
In the news section of our website, you will be able to find a regularly updated news feed that is full of useful information to help you stay informed of all innovations, developments, and legislative changes impacting funeral and bereavement services. We work hard to stay on the cutting edge of new developments and always endeavour to pass our knowledge to our members! Visit our news section here!
