2024 Education Consultation Session

Before the AGM kicks off our 2024 Conference, we will be holding an important session to discuss the future of our Education Program. The session will be held 10:45-11:45am on April 30th, 2024 at the Westin Wall Centre. All regular members in good standing are invited to attend the session. Conference registration is NOT required to attend this session.

This session is intended to ask the big questions about what’s next for our program. Through a facilitated discussion, we will touch on the topics of course content, current delivery methods, schedule, and future opportunities for training. If you’d like to have your voice included in this conversation, please make the time to attend. Outside of the scope of the program will be the licensing and apprenticeship requirements set out in CIFSA as changes to these requirements would require legislative change.

We will also not include discussion on the logbook portion of the program as we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with a revamped and simplified logbook for the 2024/25 academic year! The new logbook reduces the burden on students and mentors by eliminating many of the repetitive tasks and photocopying, while still maintaining the structure of our course outlines. We are finalizing edits with SkilledTradesBC and we are excited to preview the new logbook at the AGM Townhall.
